Hawkinge Cricket Club provides opportunities for young people, both boys and girls, between the ages of 5 and 18 to receive coaching and participation in various cricket competitions. All coaching is by qualified ECB coaches who are trained and have been screened for their suitability for working with young people.
The club has achieved Sport England’s Clubmark, which is awarded to clubs by The England & Wales Cricket Board when the club is able to demonstrate that it meets The England & Wales Cricket Board’s criteria as to playing programme; child protection; sports equity and ethics and club management. Clubmark is an acknowledgement that we take these issues seriously and that we are striving to provide a high quality and welcoming environment for young participants in the sport.
Training sessions will take place Thursday evenings from May. These will run throughout the summer until early October and will take place at Hawkinge Cricket Club.
The cost of each training session is £3.00 and there is a small annual membership fee of £15.00.
